Happy fall from Wenatchee Pediatric Dentistry!

Happy fall to our wonderful Wenatchee community.

We hope the back-to-school bustle wasn’t too hectic and that supply shopping, open houses, orientation and meet n’ greets were a success! Hopefully your children retained at least some information from orientation, unlike my son, who seemed to completely forget in the six hours between orientation and open house where his locker was, his locker combination, his homeroom teacher (any of his teachers as a matter of fact) and quite possibly even which school he was attending if I hadn’t driven him to the front doors. Yes, I am laughing about this now.

Our summer flew by here at Wenatchee Pediatric Dentistry. We had a blast with our Mother and Father’s day contests, 4th of July guessing game and back to school contests.  My personal favorite was “nominate a teacher.” Your Facebook and Instagram responses were out of this world and over sixty-five teachers were recognized with kind words and praise to launch them into a new school year.  Mrs. Thrift at Cascade Elementary was chosen from your nominations and she received a basket full of gift cards and classroom supplies. I want to mention that we received several nominations for teachers at Cascade Elementary. Kudos and well done!

Did you know that October is National Bullying Prevention and Awareness Month? We want to help our community spread the word that bullying is not okay. We are “GOING BLUE” at Wenatchee Pediatric Dentistry October 2nd-5th.  Any child that stops by our office wearing blue and signs a “be a buddy, not a bully” pledge during that week will be given an awareness bracelet, a free drink card to use at Dutch Bros in Wenatchee and entered into a drawing for a prize! You do not have to be a patient or have an appointment to stop in and show your support. You may enter via social media as well by posting your pictures wearing BLUE and tagging Wenatchee Pediatric Dentistry. Go crazy, have some fun and check out http://www.stompoutbullying.org for more information on other ways you can get involved. Let’s all come together to show that kindness matters and being kind is always cool!

October 28th is Make a Difference Day. We are incredibly lucky to be partnering with Makenna Schwab once again this year to raise funds for Camp Korey. Camp Korey’s mission is to honor the courage, strength and determination of children and their families living with life-altering medical conditions by providing them with a transformational experience in a fun, safe camp environment with specialized medical support. Check out more of what this amazing camp offers by visiting campkorey.org and please stop by on Saturday, October 28th  from 10:00am-1:00pm to drop off your donation, meet Makenna, learn more about Camp Korey and have some fun!! More information is coming soon about how you can donate online as well. We can’t wait to see everyone! And…Make sure to give us a follow on Facebook or Instagram to stay up to date with events, contests, give-a-ways and community involvement.

Love and smiles from Wenatchee Pediatric Dentistry.
