Happy Thursday! What is everybody up to this weekend? Here are a few fun suggestions:

Happening today and tomorrow at Pybus Public Market: The 4th Annual “All of Creation” Kids Art Camp.

Annie’s Fun Farm in East Wenatchee is now open for U-Pick veggies!

Tonight at the Leavenworth Library, Perri the Poetry Fairy will teach children all about the magic of poetry.

The hills are alive again! “The Sound of Music” is back for another fabulous season in Leavenworth. Leavenworth Summer Theater is also staging productions of “Annie” and “Bye Bye Birdie” this year.

The Short Shakespeareans’ “The Taming of the Shrew” Youth Summer Musical is on NOW!

This year’s Hot August Nights production, “La Cage Aux Folles,” is on now at the Numerica PAC through next Saturday night! Oh là là!

On Saturday, stop by Lake Wenatchee State Park for a free program of traditional Appalachian song and dance.

Does somebody in your family love classic cars? Check out the Hot Rodzz Espresso cruise-ins on Saturdays at 4:30 p.m.

On August 16, 1997, Wenatchee Valley residents baked the world’s largest apple pie. To mark the 20th anniversary of this sweet achievement, the museum is hosting a party this August 16 — that’s next Wednesday! There will be apple pie and ice cream, and lots of stories from the big day.

There’s so much going on at local libraries right now — from story times to puppet shows to craft groups. Check out the full calendar of library events.

Bring the kids to the Nutcracker Museum in Leavenworth, where they can go on a Nutcracker Hunt. Regular museum admission rates apply. All the details are on the museum’s website. Sounds fun!

The Kids’ Market returns to the Wenatchee Valley Farmers Market on Saturday, August 19. Come out and support young entrepreneurs selling homemade or homegrown goods.

The Rustique Divas Vintage Market returns on Aug. 19-20 to Riverwalk Park in Chelan.

On Monday, Aug. 21, take part in a family-friendly solar eclipse viewing party up at Mission Ridge.

Here’s the big one: The Wenatchee Wine & Food Festival is coming up at the Town Toyota Center on Saturday, Aug. 26. Wine… Food… Music…. More wine! This is the ultimate date night, so book the babysitter now!

The Leavenworth Community Farmers Market is open every Thursday.

The Wenatchee Valley Farmers Market is open Saturdays and Thursdays at Pybus Public Market.

The Chelan Farmers Market happens on Thursdays.

Village Art in the Park in Leavenworth is back every weekend through October.

Catholic Family and Child Service hosts several play-and-learn events each week for children up to age 5 and their caregivers. The Kaleidoscope Play and Learn group meets Wednesdays at the First Methodist Church at 10 a.m., Thursdays at the Wenatchee Public Library at 10 a.m., and Fridays at the Hope Center at 9 a.m. and 11 a.m. The play sessions are free and no registration is required. For more information call 664-7350 ext. 3093.

The Wenatchee Mother-Baby Support Group at the Wenatchee Public Library meets from 1-2:30 p.m. Mondays. (And now there’s a Toddler Group, too! The toddler group meets Mondays at noon at the library. This play-time focuses on movement, exploration, and learning to play together. It’s also a time for parents to visit, connect, and find ongoing support.)

Indoor Park Play Time at Apple Valley Gymnastics, 9:30-11 a.m. Mondays.

For kids 6 and younger, head to the play gym at Sport Gymnastics, open Tuesdays through Saturdays.

Story times at the Wenatchee Public Library. (Preschool Story Time: Mondays, Tuesdays and Wednesdays at 10:30 a.m.; Bilingual Story Time: Mondays at 6 p.m..; Pajama Story Time: Tuesdays at 7 p.m.; Baby/Toddler Story Time: Fridays at 10 a.m.; NEW Family Story Time: Saturdays at 11 a.m.)

You’ll find a hands-on children’s activity and craft room upstairs at the Wenatchee Valley Museum & Cultural Center. Kids and their grown-ups get in free and it’s open during regular museum hours.

The Wenatchee Valley Mall Kids Club gets together for adventures the third Saturday of every month.

Bring the whole family out for RunWenatchee’s club run/walks on the Loop Trail every Thursday evening. (Club run check-ins recently moved to Pybus.)
