It’s Thursday, which means we’ve rounded up a bunch of fun things happening locally in the next week or so. And no, there are no otter-related events happening. Sorry. I just threw that little guy up there because it’s been a weird couple of weeks and I feel like we all need more cute otter face in our lives. Here’s our list of event recommendations:

Original members of classic rock band Heart play a show with their new band tonight at Ohme Gardens.

This one is going to be cool: Lisa Bee’s is hosting the first annual Fuzz Fest on Friday to celebrate the end of the peach harvest. Live music, pie eating contest and fun events for the kids.

There’s a Japanese Cuisine and Kid-Friendly Sushi Demo on Friday in Chelan.

Free live music at Centennial Park in downtown Wenatchee on Friday nights!

The AppleSox are home tonight and tomorrow.

Pacific Science Center’s Science on Wheels program hits local libraries beginning Monday in Cashmere and Wenatchee. (It’s free!)

Lots of camps coming up at Icicle Creek for young theater performers, pianists and filmmakers.

Date night: Local Americana group Gideon’s Daughter performs Friday night at Sticks House of Cigars. Another idea: Acoustic Saturday Night at Upper Eastside Coffee & Wine on Grant Road in East Wenatchee.

Encouraging Words is celebrating its 25th anniversary with a party on Saturday. There will be live music, food, face painting, balloon animals, a bouncy house and more. All by donation.

The Wenatchee Riverfront Railway is up and running this Saturday.

A vintage market called The Junk Stops Here stops by Chelan on Saturday.

Leavenworth Summer Theater’s production of Disney’s Beauty and the Beast opens at the Festhalle on Wednesday. (No children under 5)

The Festival of Families at the Wenatchee Valley Mall on Sunday will feature vendors in health services, entertainment, sports and more.

Looking Ahead:

A private screening of Bad Moms at Gateway Cinemas is coming up next Friday, July 29. Gift baskets, prizes and more. How fun! Who else is excited about this movie?

Every Week:
