What’s happening? Your weekly events roundup

It’s Thursday, which means we’ve put together a list of events happening around town this weekend and beyond. In this edition: Dr. Seuss on stage, honoring our fallen on Memorial Day, and more music than you can handle when Sasquatch! returns to the Gorge. Have fun out there!

Stage Kids presents “Seussical Jr.” at the Numerica PAC, today through Saturday.

Today is National Chardonnay Day and Jones of Washington is celebrating with a class and tasting tonight. (Shouldn’t this be a paid holiday or something?)

Learn about the incredible work of Alatheia Riding Center at the Chamber’s Business After Hours event tonight.

Pioneer and Foothills 7th graders will recite original work in a poetry slam tonight at Pybus.

International flute player and storyteller Gary Stroutsos performs tonight at the Wenatchee Valley Museum & Cultural Center.

North Central Regional Library hosts a job resource fair for teens on Friday.

The Rotary Park splash pad opens for the season this weekend, from 11 a.m.-8 p.m. daily.

Grand Coulee Dam’s laser light show returns for the summer.

Friday at Pybus, a group of 4th, 5th and 6th grade students in the Eastmont School District will perform “lively dance music inspired by Zimbabwe.”

More fun at Pybus. Friday night, Pacific Crest Church hosts a game night at the market, open to families and all ages.

Sasquatch! is back at the Gorge this Friday through Monday. Tickets aren’t cheap, but here’s who you get to see for your money: Florence and the Machine, The Cure, Alabama Shakes, Allen Stone, Deep Sea Diver and dozens more. Drop the kids at Grandma’s house and go!

Slidewaters opens for the season on Saturday.

On Memorial Day, honor those who gave their lives for our country at a flag raising ceremony.

Improv and sketch comedy comes to the college, beginning tonight.
