It’s fair season, y’all! And if you haven’t checked out the NCW Fair in Waterville, make sure you add it to your “must-see” list this year. The fair is just around the corner — August 23-26.
This fair has been around for a long time and has a rich history! It started in 1889 and has been popular ever since. This year the fair features a bunch of new attractions, an awesome kiddo area, tons of vendors, delicious food options, and more! I recently visited the fair and got a sneak peek.
It’s a beautiful venue and I can’t wait to see it all set up for fair-goers in just a few weeks. While I was there, I met with Carolyn Morley (Fair Manager) and Ashley Freeman (Fair Secretary); they are both so excited about the fair and all it has to offer this year. Carolyn and Ashley have kiddos themselves, so they are dedicated to making the NCW Fair kid-friendly and a memorable experience for children throughout the region.

My recommendation is to go on Saturday, August 25th as it’s the official KIDS DAY at the fair! Here’s a short list of popular fair activities kiddos will love (there’s much more, head over to www.ncwfair.org for more info!):
- Horse Rides
- Mechanical Bull
- Hair Painting
- Face Painting
- Elbow the Clown
- Tractor Maze
- Children’s Dentistry of Wenatchee will have their Tooth Fairy from 12-2 (Saturday)
- Wenatchee Wild’s Walt the Wolf Frozen T-Shirt Contest 1PM (Saturday)
- Lego Building Tent
- Toddler Area
- Yard Games
- Pony Hop Races
- 5 Bounce Houses
- AppleSox Coyote
- NCRL mobile library
- Jason Sims Magic Show
- Petting Zoo
There’s tons of fun for adults too! Food and drinks, plus live music! Black Hawk is performing on Friday night!
So, pull on your cowboy boots, pack some sunscreen, and head to the NCW Fair at the end of this month!
The NCW Fair would like to thank a few sponsors. The kid zone is proudly sponsored by Children’s Dentistry of Wenatchee, Town Toyota, and Merrill Orthodontics.
